Organized Chaos
The Spins

I've felt the world turn enough times by now to know when I'm going to start spinning out of control. Sometimes it's accidental and sometimes, I think I do it solely for the thrill of it — for the adrenaline rush, the quick taste of freedom and the kind of recklessness that numbs everything else.
There was a time in my life where I thought creativity had to be nurtured in pure happiness. After many twists and turns, I’ve realised that chaos is actually creativity’s best friend. Not happiness, euphoria or joy — chaos is what really pushes you to create the most, the best and the realest. Not because you want to make something out of it but because you need to in order to free yourself. Hard times, indeed, make great art.
It's both scary and incredible how vulnerability can feel. The ability of our minds and bodies to be so overstimulated that you don't have an option other than being forced to rotate in between every single emotion. Everything from there out, is about choices — a combination and consequence of the person you are and the one you're trying to become.
It’s all about ebb & flow — rhythm, continuum, balance. Being vulnerable means swimming in circles while chaos and order meet in the middle and remind you that life moves too fast for you to spend so much time resisting change. The world is always turning and when you have your hands off the wheel, you need to learn to trust that the universe will eventually deliver.
With every loss, separation and readjustment comes the possibility of growth and transformation. Life is made of cycles and they all have a purpose: to teach, punish, remind, restart, reveal. They make us uncomfortable and force us out of our comfort zones. They allow breakdowns to become breakthroughs, turn patience into power, flow into force.
Cycles come, go and cultivate a full awareness and appreciation for the transitory nature of all things. Seasons, people, feelings, jobs, status — everything passes, everything changes and from all the things that the world does best, constantly moving is definitely one of them.
You see, healing and growing happen more smoothly in the presence of acceptance — when you finally acknowledge what you wish to transform without being in conflict with it. When you understand that life is easier once you align with the universe’s flow rather than forcing it to flow your way.
Wants, needs, desires and cravings are all temporary. So are fears and concerns. When you accept that everything is always in transit, change becomes a comfort zone. Everything unfolds and unveils at once and there’s no such thing as permanence.
In between the spins of the universe, life happens. Its many phases and cycles turning everything upside down, downside up and making you wiser, sharper, awaker. Aware that this too shall pass, shift and heal. I’ve felt the world turn enough times by now to know: these cycles go around like circles and never fail to teach me how to keep on moving.
